About me
Water and pigment, so easy - so hard!
The moisture of the paper, the water together with the different properties of the pigments.
The difficulty to control, the unforeseeable and the exciting - watercolor painting!
Watercolor painting fascinates me and I must constantly be prepared to think again, because the pigments, the water and the paper in a way live their own lives.
I paint in a pretty loose kind of style, with a lot of water. My motives are often semiabstract and I get most of my inspiration from the Swedish nature.
In my watercolour paintings I usually works with 3 - 5 different pigments, which gives my paintings a rather calm expression.
I sometimes give watercolor workshops and classes.
I live in Halmstad, on the west coast in southern Sweden. And I just love to paint the sea and the open fields around here! But I was born in the north of Sweden, Lapland, in a little forrest Sami village called Nattavaara. Thats why I sometimes are paint reindeers and snow covered mountains.
